What is Patriots on Parade?

"Patriots on Parade” is a family-oriented, school wide celebration of student achievement held annually in April. A program and list of events will be sent home as the event nears. In order to enjoy the festivities, students must attend with a parent or guardian.

It all begins with Parading Patriots.  Watch the band, dance team, cheerleaders and student clubs march along Carondelet and Villere and back.

After the parade, each department will have something different to offer.  You may watch a performance, participate in activities offered in various classrooms or play in the “MJH Fitness Arcade.”  It is an excellent opportunity to see some of the wonderful things the students at Mandeville Junior High have achieved this year.

There will also be a silent auction and raffle with baskets and autographed specialty items.  A program will provide you with all of the times and locations of activities from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  Keep an eye out for flyers and ordering information.  Volunteers are needed to help decorate the school, help teachers collect and prepare items to be auctioned, and monitor the food service.

If you or your business can donate items for auction, it is not only support for the students at MJH, but it may be tax deductable.  Anyone interested in donating items should contact Jessie Gremillion. Other questions concerning Patriots on Parade should be directed towards Trish Picone. You may also call the school at 985-626-4428.
